Autotransplantation with Buccal Mucous Graft in Central Perforations of the Tympanic Membrane with Intact Ossicular Chain: Film Demonstration

Abstract

The film has been produced in order to demonstrate briefly the technical procedure of the operation.

The operation is performed with transmeatal approach and generally in local anesthesia. Only children below the age of 10 years require general anesthesia. Premedication and protecting antibiotic therapy is always used. The mucous graft is taken from the labial angle of the buccal mucous membrane.
