Abstract
A report is given in translation concerning the initial experimentation by Dr. Lombard (1910) with his voice reflex test for nonorganic deafness. The technique is described as useful in the differential diagnosis of certain cases of unilateral and bilateral sensory neural deafness. Various sources of the masking stimulus are enumerated and testing methods are outlined. The Lombard voice reflex test is projected as a potentially valuable contribution to the field of forensic medicine.
