Abstract

The radiosensitivity of five different types of malignant salivary—gland tumour—adenoid cystic, acinic—cell, muco—epidermoid, mucus—producing adenopapil—lary carcinoma and carcinoma in pleomorphic adenoma—has been studied on the basis of the criterion “palpable tumour which was not definitely palpable 6 weeks after the end of radiation therapy”. In a series of 1678 cases of parotid tumour, all patients who had received uniform radiation therapy were investigated.
