Abstract

Subsequent examination of cryosurgery-le-sioned rabbit mandibles by scintigraphy and autoradiography demonstrated that the lesion and healing processes could be followed by the radionuclide imaging methods. Evidence obtained indicated that the healing process is not periosteal, but originates in the bone marrow and is completed after around 8–12 weeks.
