Psychiatric Population of Nursing Homes

Synopsis

One in every ten patients aged 60 years and over in all nursing homes in the metropolitan area of Perth, Western Australia, was interviewed. The nursing homes were found to have a very large psychiatric population of a wide diagnostic range and all grades of severity.
