Abstract

A study of the whole-Body counter at the Finsen Laboratory and its use for metabolic studies with 131I-labelled plasma proteins is presented. In contrast to some users of whole body counters, we did not observe any change in counting efficiency during the initial part of the studies. From the results obtained it is concluded that the counting geometry used in this apparatus is able to compensate for shifts in tracer distribution during such studies.
