Abstract

As deposition of calcium salts in gastric mucosa has been mentioned as an ulcero genetic factor in patients with primary hyperparathyreoidism (HPT), a study of gastric secretion of calcium and phosphate in 10 patients with primary HPT and 20 controls was undertaken. The basal secretion of Ca was higher in patients with HPT while the stimulated secretory pattern for Ca as well as P did not differ from the controls.
