Clinical evaluation of the use of povidone-iodine powder in caesarean section wounds

Summary

Povidone-iodine powder was sprayed into the sub-cuticular adipose tissue, before skin closure, in 79 patients having caesarean sections. There was no difference in the rate of wound infection compared with a series of 84 control patients selected at random
