Review of urinary tract fistulas in the Rotunda Hospital from the years 1976–1986

Summary

In the years 1976 to 1986 in the Rotunda Hospital, there were 12 recorded cases of urinary tract fistulas following major gynaecological surgery. The incidence was 1 in 260 with abdominal hysterectomy, 1 in 450 with vaginal hysterectomy, 1 in 300 with Manchester repairs, and 1 in 9 with caesarean hysterectomy.
