Pages 205-210 | Published online: 10 Jul 2009

Abstract

For a school-aged child, time is usually highly structured. When he or she becomes hospitalized, this structure disappears, leading to great disruption. Time structuring refers to a group of activities aimed at alleviating the disruption by helping the child to view calendar and clock the time of hospitalization in an organized manner.
