Abstract

Addition of 10% phosphatidylserine to dipalmitoyl-phosphatidylcholine liposomes, containing 3H-cholesterol or 14C-pnosphatidylcholine, inhibited interactions between liposomes and rabbit spermatozoa. Phosphatidylserine also caused an apparent decrease in the inhibitory effect of cholesterol-bearing liposomes on sperm fertilizing ability.
