Abstract
Spermatophagy was induced by washed spermatozoa in whole blood culture of infertile husbands and their wives. In some preparations, macrophages, with an average diameter of 14.9 ± 5.4 μm, were found in actively phagocytosed spermatozoa. There was correlation between differential count of spermatophages and the Stimulation Index of lymphoblasts as expressed by 3H-thymidine uptake.
