Complication of venography in varicocele

Abstract

The authors outline the danger of direct venography in orbital varices because of the inherent tendency of these thin-walled dilated veins to bleed easily and result in orbital hemorrhage. One instance of such a complication is reported. Computed tomography with the Valsalva maneuver is a safe diagnostic substitute.
