A practical approach to patenting

Abstract

This article is intended to draw attention to some of the pitfalls which await the unwary inventor in the fields of biology and medical science should he wish to patent his new invention. Aspects of British, United States and European patent law are outlined and practical aspects of making a patent application are discussed. The article concludes with a short note on copyright.
