Abstract
The paper gives some arguments to a discussion of diagnostic systems, specially the WHO-classification and the multiaxial diagnosis of Ottosson & Perris. It is emphasized that the essential problem for both systems is the content of information in the diagnostic concept, which is obviously to small, if diagnosis shall be used as an argument for far-reaching decisions. It is furthermore vaguely defined because of redundancy in the formulation of concepts.
