Success and failure in individual psychotherapy with psychotic patients. Some follow-up considerations

Abstract

Psychotherapy for patients with schizophrenic psychosis is still a controversial issue as to its general applicability. The author draws upon his own psychotherapeutic experience and follow-up investigations to throw light upon factors connected with success and failure in different phases and settings. Finally som comments are made on the main topic – curative factors. □ Individual psychotherapy, schizophrenia, follow-up, factors related to outcome.
