Abstract

Buspirone is a new anxiolytic, an azaspirodecanedione derivate, with fewer side-effects than the benzodiazepines. Reported epileptic attacks occurring during buspirone treatment have been extremely rare. In this paper we describe a patient who had an epileptic attack during buspirone treatment 3 days after a sudden discontinuation of benzodiazepine treatment and alcohol consumption.
