Abstract

The authors report on 2 children with pernicious anemia, sisters, who presented with hyper-melanosis as one of the clinical manifestations. The hypermelanosis disappeared with adequate treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency. Vitamin Big deficiency should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a child presenting with hyperpigmentation and macrocytic red cell indices.
