Abstract

Interaction between staphylococci of porcine and human origin has been studied using three in vitro and two in vivo methods. Inhibitor producing strains will suppress the growth of potentially pathogenic indicator strains on agar and in fluid media. Inhibition can be demonstrated using a skin surface model but not in a subcutaneous model.
