Abstract

Liposomes were prepared from total lipids extracted from the stratum corneum of human skin. They were studied with respect to size distribution, morphology, phase transitions and marker efflux. Peculiarities of phase transition and morphology are in keeping with the special lipid composition of the horny layer.
