Summary
Sexual dysfunctions and paraphilias, or sexual deviations, are seen as two different types of problems, and are separately classified in diagnostic schemes. This paper points out the links between the two. Paraphilias are related to sexual dysfunctions in several ways. These links are explored and illustrated. The implications of these links for sexual dysfunction treatment are discussed.
