Abstract
Evan Jones died on 2 July 1995 following a valiant battle with cancer. He was a psychiatrist who was a vital part of the public psychiatric system. He was totally committed to his patients, and his care for them extended beyond the traditional doctor-patient relationship. He would be totally available to his patients, being involved in projects such as weekend holidays to Phillip Island and even undertaking to work with them in a sprav-oaintine “club”.
