Abstract
Gomori's methenamine silver method for argentaffin cells has been modified and considerably accelerated by almost doubling the silver concentration and raising the incubation temperature to 60°C. Argentaffin cells are selectively impregnated in 3 to 4 hours and the background remains relatively clear up to 4 hours. The contrasts are clearer than with the ammoniacal silver methods of Masson and of Gluckmann.
