The Personal Computer and its Application in an R&D Community

Pages 173-182 | Published online: 28 Sep 2008

Abstract

Personal computers are rapidly becoming more visible in the R&D community than ever before. Where less than a decade ago computers required large climate—controlled rooms, now personal computers can function in the same environment that you and I, as office workers, do.

This paper will address many of the ways that personal computers have been introduced into the R&D community at Revlon Health Care. It will also address industry trends and some of the considerations that should be addressed when introducing a personal computer into the workplace.
