Abstract
Alcoholics in a 6-week inpatient program were found to increase their consumption of coffee as time for discharge approached. Week-in-program was found to be lineraly related and significantly correlated with the amount of coffee consumed. Several alternate interpretations of this phenomenon and consideration of further research are discussed.
