Abstract
This issue is a collection of articles based upon workshops presented at MESIDU-95 (Middle Eastern Summer Institute on Drug Use). This training institute, which has become an annual event in Jerusalem, invites a group of international experts in the broad area of substance use intervention (drugs, medicines, alcohol misuse, etc.) to present state-of-the-art knowledge in workshop format every morning to a limited group of Israeli and Palestinian policymakers and intervention agents. Professionals from neighboring countries are also invited.
