Somatopsychological Effects of Chromium Supplementation

Abstract

Results from anecdotal case reports, a self-supplementation study by the authors and a double blind supplementation study indicate that chromium in nutritional doses increased the frequency and intensity of dreams, and prolonged dosing reduced sleep requirement, altered the sleep pattern and caused insomnia and irritability in some subjects.
