Chromium Supplementation Improves Chronic Headaches: a Case-study

Abstract

Following a serendipitious finding that a sufferer with chronic headaches benefitted from the taking of a supplement containing a number of minerals, the response was studied using a double-blind procedure. on a daily basis, the frequency and intensity of headaches experienced by an adult female were recorded for 13 months. A marked reduction in headaches was reported when taking a tablet containing zinc, manganese, chromium, magnesium, copper, vitamin C and vitamin B6. the examination of the impact of tablets of different compositions suggested that the active ingredient was chromium.
