Abstract
Hybrid revascularisation (HR), combining minimally-invasive left internal mammary artery (LIMA) bypass grafting to the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) and catheter interventional treatment of the remaining coronary lesions, avoids the disadvantages associated with cardiopulmonary bypass. We report on six patients with a significant left main-stem stenosis undergoing HR. Our results indicate that HR is an effective and secure procedure in patients with a left main-stem stenosis. However, in two patients, reintervention was necessary because of restenosis documented in the 6 month follow-up.
