Abstract

Splenectomy for symptomatic splenic cyst is curative. The uncertainty regarding the incidence of post-splenectomy overwhelming sepsis has made surgeons re-evaluate the indications for splenectomy. We describe a minimal invasive approach for the treatment of symptomatic splenic cyst with the added benetit of splenic preservation.
