The theory of mind hypothesis of autism: A reply to Boucher

Abstract

Boucher (p.181) gives a useful account of the term ‘theory of mind' in developmental psychology and as it has been applied to autism. She then gives an assessment of the hypothesis that in autism a theory of mind is impaired. I would like to briefly comment on her arguments.
