Abstract
A sample of thyme from Ethiopia is described. The macroscopical study of the flower and the leaf, the microscopical study of the leaf and of its powder permitted the identification of Thymus schimperi Ronn. The first results of the chemical analysis show that this species belongs to the group of thymol and carvacrol species.

L'auteur décrit un échantillon de thym d'Ethiopie. L'examen macroscopique de sa fleur et de sa feuille, l'examen microscopique de la feuille et de sa poudre ont permis d'identifier Thymus schimperi Ronn. Cette espèce appartient au groupe des thyms à thymol et carvacrol.
