Abstract
Three flavonids, salvigenin 1, artemetin 2, and 5-hydroxy-3′, 4′, 6, 7-tetramethoxyflavonc 3 and two sesquiterpene lactones, deacetoxymatricarin 4 and an unidentified one were isolated from the aerial part of Achillea conferta. 5-hydroxy-3′, 4′, 6, 7-tetramcthoxyflavone exhibited growth inhibitory properties towards Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria.
