Abstract

Turkey has a rich flora as well as a great tradition of folk medicine. This paper describes an ethnopharmacological study in the Kastamonu province. Information about the vernacular names and utilization of plants used in traditional medicine was collected by interviews with inhabitants. The medicinal uses of 25 plant species, parts used, and methods of preparing the medicines are recorded.
