Abstract

Alcohol extracts of fourteen plants traditionally used in India for antiallergic disorders were evaluated for their antiallergic activity. Coleusforskohlii, Nyctanthes arbortristis, Pterocarpus santalinus, Rubia cordifolia and Momordica dioica were found to inhibit passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) in the mouse and rat.
