Abstract

Celosia Argentea L. (Amaranthaceae) Was Evaluated Morphologically, Microscopically, Chemically, Pharmacologically and Clinically. Detection and Estimation Of Triterpenoid Saponins (Root and Seed), Sucrose (Root) and Flavonoids (Leaf and Stem) Have Been Reported In This Work For The First Time. Antibacterial Activity Of The Alcohol Extracts Of Leaf and Its Flavonoids Have Also Been Studied. Diuretic Activity Of Seeds Gave Good Results When Tested On Albino Rats and Human Volunteers.
