Abstract
Two new flavone glycosides from the ethanol extract of the heartwood of Pongamia pinnata were characterized on the basis of chemical AND spectral evidence as 3,5,7,4‘-tetrahydroxy-6,8,3’-trimethoxy-flavone-3-O-[-α-L-arabinopyranosyl (1→3)] -β-D-galactopyranosideand 3,5,7,4‘-tetrahydroxy-6,8,3’-trimethoxy flavone-3-O-[(-α-L-arabinopyranosyl (l→3)] -[J-D-galactopyranosyl (l→ 6)} -β-D-galactopyranoside].
