Abstract

Several species of the genera Tinospora (Menispermaceae) are widely distributed over Asia and Africa and are well-known for their medicinal properties. Consequently, they have been investigated extensively over the last four decades. A brief review of the chemical constituents in these species and the biological activities reported is presented.
