Abstract
The combination of central integrated data management, which is external to the laboratory, and decentralized data entry and acquisition leads to a suppression in administration at the laboratory reception and also inside the laboratory.
Terminals linked to the central management system are located in the hospital departments for the entry of the various test requests. They also provide a means for positive identification of samples. The main features of the positive identification system outlined in this paper, even without automatic identification of the result at the analyser itself, are its modularity and its perfect integration to the central management system.
Furthermore the overall performance is considerably enhanced by the decentralization in the laboratory of the production and the acquisition of the results. The emphasis is put on source data capture combined with local acquisition on an intermediate medium owing to the installation of independent mini-systems.
La coexistence d'une gestion centrale, donc integree, extirieure au laboratoire, et de l'enregistrement et de I'acquisition decentralises des donnkes, conduit i supprimer les tlches administratives aussi bien B la reception des Cchantillons qu'au laboratoire.
Les terminaux, reliés au systkme de gestion et implantés dam les unités d'hospitalisation pour l'enregistrement des demandes, fournissent les éléments d'identification positive des échantillons. Le système d'identification positive présenté, tout en n'étant pas pourvu dans l'immédiat d'une identification du résultat au niveau de l'analyseur, se caractérise par sa modularité et sa parfaite intégration au système de gestion.
En outre, les performances globales sont considérablement augmentées par la décentralisation, au laboratoire, de l'élaboration et de l'acquisition des résultats. l'accent est mis sur la saisie à la source combinée à me acquisition locale des résultats éant donné la mise en place de minisystèmes autonomes.
