Abstract

This paper reports the benefits which can be derived by Medical and Administrative staff of a District General Hospital using a computer system to analyse the information held in the records of the Casualty Department. The Casualty Records are normally available only as individual histories. Here they have been used as a data-base. The studies have been carried out on data from separate years. This paper details the modifications made to the system in the light of continuing research which has now extended over eight years and is still in progress.
