Abstract
Over the past 14 years, we found that limiting the use of cerclage to gravidas with either a history consistent with cervical incompetence or documented cervical change, produced acceptable perinatal outcomes. In this manuscript, we compare our outcomes in DES exposures to a previously published series that advocated prophylactic cerclage. The optimal management of the DES-exposed gravida awaits formal study in randomized trials.
