Abstract

The skin sensitization potential of five polyethylene glycols, ranging in average molecular weight from 200 to 8000, was evaluated by a guinea pig maximization test using the method of Magnusson and Kligman and a human repeat insult patch test. There was no evidence of sensitization to polyethylene glycols under the conditions of these two test systems.
