Abstract
We, the Editor, authors and Publisher have retracted the following article:
Liu, C.Z., Wei, G.H., Hu, J.H. & Liu, X.Y. Complete mitochondrial genome of Paracobitis variegates [sic] and its phylogenetic analysis. Mitochondrial DNA Part A 27:4 (2016) 2421-2422. 10.3109/19401736.2015.1030624.
The above article has been retracted as, subsequent to publication, duplication has been found in the article content and data with the following earlier published article:
Shi, Y., Xing, L., Chen, T., Yang, M. & You, P. ‘Sequencing and analysis of the complete mitochondrial genome of Paracobitis variegatus’. Journal of the Shaanxi Normal University 42:4 (2014) 50-56.
The authors omitted to acknowledge the original publication of the mitogenome sequence in the Journal of the Shaanxi Normal University article, and presented this research as their own.
We have been informed in our decision-making by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retractions.
The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
