Abstract

This study examined the use of the Exeter Lip Sensor to achieve increased lip seal in two school aged children with a history of chronic open mouth posture. There was an improvement noted in maintenance of lip seal in both children in the clinical setting. This improvement was maintained during practice sessions both at home and in the clinic. The children showed differences in the degree to which they were able to generalize the ability to maintain increased lip seal.
