Abstract
A minor epidemic of Au-antigen-positive hepatitis at a home for the aged is described. Route of infection was probably the joint use of bath-brushes. The course of disease was occasionally serious. The aged appear to be carriers of Au-antigen for a longer period than young individuals affected with the same disease. Au-antigen was demonstrated in one patient in a decubital sore.
