Five Cases of Meningitis due to Sulfonamide-Resistant Meningococci

Abstract

Five of 10 cases of meningococcal meningitis treated at Roslagstull Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Stockholm during the first 10 months in 1972 were caused by meningococci resistant to sulfonamides. This is the first report of sulfonamide-resistant meningococci in Sweden.
