Abstract

Because of its solubility, availability and inexpensive sodium salts is a perspective electrolyte substance or mediator to be used in electroorganic synthesis. The choice of electrolyte is critical for achieving optimal yields and selectivity in synthetic organic electrochemistry. The mediator imparts significant influence on the kinetics and thermodynamics of electron transfer and shows a vital role in transformation. In this review, we aim to emphasize the recent instances of sodium salts as an electrolyte in electrochemical reactions.
