	Inclusion Criteria	Exclusion Criteria
Patients	Patients who have been an inpatient on an acute mental health ward for adults aged 18–65 within the last 5 years.	Patients lacking capacity to consent to take part in the research.
	Capacity to give informed consent and participate in a research interview.	Patients who have been an inpatient on Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs), forensic, rehab or specialist mental health wards.
		Children and adolescents under 18.
Staff	Staff who work on or manage an acute mental health ward for adults aged 18–65.	Staff working primarily on wards for children, adolescents, older adults, people with learning difficulties or forensic units.
	Capacity to give informed consent and participate in a research interview.
