Abstract

The authors describe a rare case of bilateral, sequential optic neuritis and one-and-a-half syndrome, with correlated magnetic resonance imaging of the brain. Intravenous corticosteroid was administrated as treatment of the ocular motor deficit; however, partial resolution and subsequent recurrence of optic neuritis with transverse myelitis were observed. After re-treatment, neurological deficits were remedied, but visual loss remained.
