Abstract
Using data from a large, representative survey of the U.S. population, the relation between frequency of prior drug use and treatment utilization was explored. As was hypothesized, the more frequently former drug users had taken an illicit drug, the more likely they were to have accessed treatment. This relationship was true for all illicit drug classes.
